The US rap superstar gained himself an immense amount of credit after performing live at Glastonbury 2008. Headlining at the festival caused controversy when Oasis star Noel Gallagher criticised his appearance as it is primarily a guitar driven event.

But Jay-Z wowed the crowds with his live show and got his comeuppance on the Gallagher brother by walking on stage, guitar in hand, strumming along to 'Wonderwall' - an act that The Independent called a "monumental Glastonbury moment".
