Henri Cartier-Bresson
Cartier-Bresson was a French photographer who is widely considered to be the father of modern photojournalism and a pioneer of candid photography, famed for his use of 35mm as well as being was integral in the development the street photography style.
Of his most famous piece, 'Behind the Gare St. Lazare' (above), he said: "There was a plank fence around some repairs behind the Gare Saint-Lazare train station. I happened to be peeking through a gap in the fence with my camera at the moment the man jumped."
