Leibowitz is one of the most respected celebrity photographers in the business, famed for her ability to break down the wall between subject and picture taker, resulting in some of popular culture's most exposed shots.

On December 8 1980, Leibowitz photographed John Lennon and Yoko Ono for the front cover of Rolling Stone magazine in this beautiful embrace. She was the last person to professionally photograph the icon – he was shot to death just five hours later.
