2008 saw the cost of petrol skyrocket before eventually coming back down to more affordable figures. Coupled with this, electric and gas prices were also on the rise with many energy providers making the headlines for upping their prices unfairly.
Energy prices seldom tend to fall either. Any price cuts come in the way of short term offers that result in long term contracts. 2007 saw many suppliers announce blockbuster profits, but the solution is simple – shop around frequently and haggle with your contract.
