Diane Arbus
Arbus was an American photographer, highly praised for her voyeuristic portraits of people on the fringes of society, such as transvestites, giants, prostitutes, dwarfs and ordinary working class citizens, in unconventional poses and settings.
The eerie stillness of ' Identical Twins, Roselle, New Jersey, 1967' (above) was mirrored by Stanley Kubrick in his film version of 'The Shining' featuring an identical pose by two twins.
