Tamla-Motown
The first black label to dominate the American charts Tamla-Motown managed a whooping 110 top 10 hits stateside during the 1960s and earned the founder, Berry Gordy Jr. a place in the hall of fame.
Their first signing was the Matadors, a group fronted by Smokey Robinson and future legendary signings included The Supremes, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson Five.
