No stranger to putting his foot in it, Jeremy Clarkson's comments about the energy-saving mode on his new television got him in trouble in July.

The Top Gear host, who is known for his dislike of all things green, said his new set made every programme look "like it's being presented by Lenny Henry in a cave".

His comments prompted VC hero Johnson Beharry to reply, "Remarks like this just arenÂ’t funny. They legitimise racism."
