In 1987, an ex-policeman set off for an early morning trek across Ilkley Moor. As he was visiting a relative he decided to pack a camera. As he approached an old quarry he spotted a "green creature" with "over-long arms" running towards the hills. Although in shock, he managed to get a picture of the creature. The photograph, when developed clearly showed a strange figure with long arms. The roll was examined and found to be genuine.
