At around 9pm on November 14, Joyce Bowles and Ted Pratt's car suddenly veered off a quiet stretch of the A272. As they were sat on the roadside, they were suddenly faced by a "cigar-shaped craft". A bearded "human-like" figure in a silver suit emerged from the object and approached their car. After having a good look at the traumatised travellers, the hairy alien "just wandered off".
