Which supplements should you be taking?
Vitamin C
Vital for bones, teeth, gums and blood vessels.
Great food sources include red peppers, citrus fruits and broccoli. Pregnant women, smokers and heavy drinkers are likely to have a Vitamin C deficiency.
The RDA of Vitamin C is 40mg.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) advise against taking more than 100mg per day. Too much can cause headaches and diarrhoea.
