The A-Team don’t mess around. Hannibal (George Peppard) loves forming overly elaborate plans to thwart their foes, while Face (Dirk Benedict) charms the ladies with his suave conman abilities to gain vital information. “Crazy fool” Murdock (Dwight Schultz) acts insane to create a distraction, and, failing all that, BA Baracus (Mr T) gets angry and tears doors apart with his bare hands.
‘The A-Team’ is so over the top, it’s impossible not to like - especially xonsidering that the four central characters are supposed to be mercenaries for hire, but they still couldn’t hit a barn door. Even so, their lack of professionalism and accuracy is made up by their larger than life personas.
Quote: Opening narration: "In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team."
