Hollywood actor Billy Bob Thornton appears to move from one marriage to another with alarming regularity.

He has divorced four of his five wives within two years, including Tomb Raider actress Angelina Jolie.

The actor was nearly 20 years her senior when the pair married in 2000, but they sealed their union by having tattoos of each other's names and wearing pendants filled with their partner's blood.

Citing irreconcilable differences they announced their break-up in July 2002, and admitted they had been living apart for months.
