In 2005, X Factor judge Louis Walsh denied Alexandra Burke the chance to perform at the live shows when he didn't pick her as one of his three finalists.

Come X Factor 2008, new judge Cheryl Cole saw Alexandra's potential and gave her a shot at the live Saturday night show, a decision that proved to be the right one. Alexandra turned her fortunes around by giving outstanding performance every time she took to the stage.

Winning over the public's affection, Alexandra was crowned the queen of the TV talent show and launched a promising solo career off the back of her devastating cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah'.
