At first:

The seemingly dull physics graduate stood out as a prize geek, boring the other housemates to death with his crazy invention ideas. He initially came across as patronising and pompous.

But then...

Jon survived three evictions - not because of who he was up against, but because he was the most entertaining person on the show. He irritated all the other housemates and had fans in stitches doing it. After a double eviction Jon got the boot - but he was voted back in and allowed continue with his annoying banter.
