After initially being very popular with Newcastle fans, Mike Ashley had seen his reign darkened as Newcastle United were hit with crippling debts and relegation from the Premier League. The once title contenders went from manager to manager in an attempt to save themselves, but the club eventually came in the bottom three.

After selling players and even being put on the market for a mere £80 million, the club bounced straight back up again but Ashley remains a source of distaste amongst hardened fans.
