Europe's worst hooligans
Rangers
From:Glasgow, Scotland
Police were "sickened" following the stabbing of a Zenit St Petersberg supporter outside of the City of Manchester Stadium prior to the squad's UEFA Cup final against Rangers.
More violence erupted on the streets during and following the game - which Rangers lost - and spilled over into confrontations, largely in the Piccadilly Gardens area of the city. British riot police were on hand and at least 30 supporters found themselves arrested in the confrontations.
One onlooker commented: "Hundreds of fans rushed at the police who charged back at them. It was a war zone. There were bottles flying everywhere and guys getting dragged to the floor."
