Probably the most famous celebrity turned politician, actor Ronald Reagan became the 40th President of the United States, serving two terms and even surviving an assassination attempt despite being shot in the chest.

While many critics didn't think much of him as a nice guy actor, Reagan has one of the highest approval ratings of former US Presidents. His 'Reaganomic' policies cut back on domestic spending while lowering taxes and provided many Americans with much needed jobs.
