Britain's 10 worst train stations
2. Clapham Junction
Customer satisfaction: 39%
Problems: The station was criticised as being inaccessible for the disabled or elderly, as well as having exposed electric cables and water pipes. The report said overall it had poor facilities, poor appearance, and lack of information "with no obvious improvements in 30 years".
Clapham junction was also identified as being a wasted opportunity. Apart from requiring a general an upgrade and new interchange, there is prospect for retail expansion which could generate an additional £900,000 in revenue each year. The station champions also called for new entrances.
