Two road accidents in Scotland killed 5 people
A day before Christmas, 5 people were killed in two separate car accidents in Scotland.

A gold-coloured Nissan Note and a silver Octavia were involved in a car accident yesterday at around 7:30 am. The accident took place about 1.5 miles south of Pathhead, Midlothian.
Three men, who were among the 5 people riding the Nissan died at the scene.
The female driver and another male passenger were taken to the hospital and were declared out of danger, Lothian and Borders police has confirmed.
Inspector Simon Bradshaw said: 'This is a tragic incident and we are currently in the process of carrying out inquiries in order to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
'At this time I am appealing to anyone who noticed the gold-coloured Nissan Note or the silver Skoda Octavia on the A68 this morning to get in touch.
On the other hand, another car accident happened just 10 miles from where the first accident took place.
A man and a woman died and two other people are being treated in the hospital after a silver Kia Cee’d collided with a red Hyundai I30 while heading north.
