City Link made Christmas less merry for some customers who accuse the couriers of losing orders and delays. Several shoppers feared that the gifts they bought for their loved ones will not be delivered in time for Christmas. Several customers decided to go online to vent out their anger and have found others who were in the same situation.
City Link, which describes itself as “'market leading service provider of guaranteed Next Day & Timed delivery services’ received several negative feedback online. Among the disgruntled clients was Charlie Higson, an author and a comedian. He said that the firm has lost his gift for his son.
He took to Twitter and wrote: “Can’t wait to see my boy’s face at Xmas when he unwraps his gift only to find a card from @CityLink saying we lost your present, get over it.”
Meanwhile, City Link seemed to have heard the customers’ complains. Later on, they posted on the company’s Twitter feed saying they will “endeavour” to ensure that they’ll be able to keep their Christmas promise.
Yesterday, a spokesman for City Link has confirmed that all items were delivered at around 5:30pm. However, she did not specify the number of people who were affected by delayed deliveries.
