After a rocky marriage to Rickey, Bianca left for Manchester with their baby Liam in September 1999. Rickey initially left Walford for a fresh start in 2000 and then returned in 2002.

Then, in a special spin-off episode, Ricky and his new fiance, Cassie, went to see Bianca in Manchester to discuss custody of Liam. Things had not turned out as planned for Bianca. She'd been expelled from her university and she'd ended up living in a grotty flat and working in a seedy nightclub.

Ricky left the soap again in 2004 to escape his evil sister, Janine. But once again the one time couple have returned to the Square to bid farewell to Frank Butcher.
