Smart Bed
Smart beds adjust sleeper’s bodies to stop snoring.

The 360 Smart Bed has been designed to automatically adjust a sleeper’s position when a snoring fit has been detected. The bed adjusts its mattress to fit different body positions, tracks its owner’s sleeping habits, and wake them at the optimum time. It can also warm up its owner’s feet and send data about their sleeping patterns to an app.
Developed by mattress company Sleep Number, the smart bed has been designed to help time-starved consumers get the best possible rest amid their increasingly busy lives. The bed, which is due to be released later this year, is one of the devices aimed at improving sleep unveiled at Las Vegas’ Consumer Electronics Show, the technology industry’s annual showcase for the latest gadgets.
This marks the first time for the show to have a “sleep tech marketplace” dedicated to gadgets such as smart lights that mimic the sun’s gradual rise, silent alarms that gently awaken their user, and fitness trackers that can count how many times their wearers wake up in the middle of the night.
Other devices that were unveiled this week include a Bluetooth chest sensor that vibrates to coax its wearer into slowing their breathing and the Nightingale, a speaker that bathes the room in ambient noise to cancel out noises from outside the room.
