Robbie WilliamsÂ’ long-awaited return to the boyband which made him famous finally happened last night with a stunning performance on X Factor.
Take That, who were the biggest boyband of the ‘90s, performed their new single The Flood on the talent show and marked the first time all five original members had performed together for 15 years.
Despite a slightly shaky start, the Angels singer pulled it together for a triumphant performance in which he passionately sang to band mate Mark Owen in truly magical moment.
Saturday night saw a revealing documentary about Robbie re-joining Take That in which the former solo artist told how he would want to stay with the band for the foreseeable future.
The relationship between all five members of the band is also said to have healed after each aired their views on previous arguments, most notoriously after Robbie left the band.
Despite some awkward moments and changes of heart, the bandÂ’s first album as a five-piece in over 15 years is now finished and ready for release this week. Some have said that Progress is their best work to date.
Their single, The Flood, however was pipped to the top spot in the charts by RhiannaÂ’s massive hit Only Girl.
They are also set to gig next year, in one of the fastest selling tours of all time.
Their album, Progress, is out now.
