Apple TV debuted with a number of big-budget original shows in the hope of increasing its sign-ups. Its launch slate includes Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s The Morning Show, Jason Momoa’s fantasy drama See and sci-fi adventure For All Mankind, scripted by former Star Trek writer, Ronald D. Moore.
Apple has been a leader in the technology sector. However, earlier this year, it was revealed that sales of iPhones were slowing. Its desire to stay at the top could have influenced its decision to enter the streaming business.
