Man arrested for stealing actor Tim Allen's car

34-year-old Faustino Ibarra was arrested for allegedly stealing Tim Allen’s car. When caught, he claims that he’s the adopted son of the funny man.

The supposed impostor was able to take Allen’s prized Chevy Impala from his Los Angeles home last week and drove it all the way to Colorado.

The suspect was turned in by his family that led to his arrest, the Seattle PI reports. Ibarra then told the media that Tim Allen had adopted him and he was given permission to take the car.

He tells Fox News, "He left the door open and he left me the keys so I could get the car and take it to Denver.

"He's my dad. I emailed my dad the morning that I got the car in (the garage) and everything is fine".

A spokesperson for Tim Allen was reportedly unable to address the case and make a comment.
