This is something you don’t normally see everyday: A Hollywood TV star asking you to stop watching his own show. But it looks like Angus Jones, who has been playing the role of Jon Cryer’s under achieving son for nine years, has had enough of Two and a Half Men. In a video posted online by a Christian group, Angus said he wants out.
The 19-year-old star explained that the show’s raunchy humour doesn’t sit well with the things he has recently learned from bible studies. He also asked the viewers to question the impact of such programmes on them.
He said: “I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth.”
He plead for viewers to research the results that come from watching TV with regards to the effects on the brain, stating that viewers would then have decisions to make, including their selection of TV programmes to switch on to.
Warner Bros Television, the show’s producer, and CBS who airs it have no comment as of time of press.
