Sharon Osbourne has fallen out with fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh after he told a contestant shed only got through to the next round of the ITV1 talent show because she was a "sob story".
Arthritis sufferer Laurie Rawlings, who spent years in a wheelchair before drugs allowed her to walk again, failed to impress the Irish pop mogul with her rendition of Toni Braxtons ballard Unbreak My Heart, but did win over Osbourne and the highly critical Simon Cowell.
Bumping into the delighted wannabe following her successful audition, Walsh told 46-year-old Laurie from Newport Pagnell, Bucks that her voice had "let her down" and that she was only through because viewers "love a sob story."
A furious Osbourne then hit out at her fellow judge, the Daily Mirror reports, accusing him of being unfair to the hopeful singer.
"You've just crossed the line. I do love you but that's out of order. It's nothing to do with that," she fumed.
Later Sharon made a further attempt to pour cold water on Walshs condemnation of contestants by throwing a glass of Coke at him when he sniggered at the performance of Charlotte, a 16-year-old hopeful from Cheshire.
He compared the teenagers voice to the sound a kitten "being strangled" following her rendition of Whitney Houstons hit, One Moment In Time.
