Hobbling Big Brother contestant Vanessa was shocked to arrive home from hospital on Saturday to find her housemates hanging out in cardboard boxes.
Fearing that she may have received a knock on the head rather than a sprained ankle after last night's bout of bed bouncing, she was shocked to find the Big Brother house had turned into cardboard city.
Confronted with the surreal sight of seeing ten cardboard boxes where her housemates used to be, a confused Vanessa demanded: "What the hell's going on, why are you all in boxes?"
Unbeknown to the limping lady, today's task requires each housemate to remain inside a cardboard box for as long as possible, with whoever can take living in a box the longest declared the winner.
As usual, evil Big Brother has plotted to make the task harder by trying to tempt housemates from their new cardboard refuges with various treats including messages from home and a luxury breakfast.
Vanessa, deciding that she felt too under the weather to spend the day in a box, decided instead to nip off to the diary room and tuck into the bacon sarnies Big Brother had left to tempt her fellow housemates out of their cardboard shells.
But for some contestants old habits seem to die hard and life in a cardboard box is continuing much the same as life in the outside world.
Maxwell, determined that a piece of cardboard should not come between him and Saskia, has already made contact with her box, asking her to talk dirty to him.
And being boxed up in a cardboard prison has clearly had a negative effect on Science and Kemal who have been bumping into each other's boxes and hurling abuse from inside their cardboard tanks.
