Ex-Hollyoaks star Paul Danan has decided that his true love is really Lady Isabella Hervey and not the American pin-up girl he's been lavishing his affections on.
After previously declaring his love for Playboy model Nikki Ziering, the celebrity castaway decided his heart belonged to Isabella, the real object of his uncontrollable desires since the start of the Celebrity Love Island series.
Paul, whose ardour for Nikki cooled just hours after they fumbled between the sheets together, opened his heart to viewers in the Love Shack.
"I feel like I've made a mistake," he lamented. "I f***ed it, didn't I? Why do I look at Isabella and feel for her?
"The grass wasn't greener on the other side. I'm in a right pickle and really confused."
Paul, who some viewers might see as a shallow celebrity, decided that Nikki was just too "fake" for him, with her love of lip gloss proving too much to bear.
"Nikki's silly, dippy, the fact she's in the bathroom for half a day, constantly putting loads of make up on," he rambled.
"I like natural, I like someone who doesn't always look in the mirror 20 million times a day, got all these hair extensions."
Sadly for Paul, Isabella has decided that her love for the actor is strictly plutonic.
"There's nothing in it. I love him to bits as a friend, we're more like brother and sister," she said after Paul had called her on to his bed to snatch a hug from the ongoing object of his desire.
Producers will be hoping the ongoing saga of Paul's love life will keep viewers interested following the latest departure from the Love Island. Calum Best was evicted from the Fijian camp last night after losing the public vote.
But ITV bosses are probably feeling quite warm and fuzzy themselves after the reality TV show trounced rival Big Brother in the ratings this week, pulling in some five million viewers.
