Keanu Reeves has been given one of the greatest celebrity accolades - a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 'Matrix' actor was honoured with the plaque on the legendary Hollywood Boulevard for a stunning 20-year career which has included over 40 films.
The star was placed on the street close to the spot where he filmed some of the action scenes in his award winning 1994 movie 'Speed'.
The Hollywood heartthrob said at the ceremony he was proud "to be honoured with stars from the past and present" and paid tribute to his mother for her unfailing support.
The 40-year-old actor said: "When I was 15 years old in Canada, I did a play called `Romeo and Juliet'. I asked my mom if it was OK to be an actor, and she said, `Whatever you want.' So thanks, Mom."
"I've been pleased to work with so many wonderful stars through the years. This has been an amazing journey. I hope it continues."
