Corrie builder Jason Grimshaw is set to ditch his macho image after a trip to a hypnotist.

Jason, whose brother Todd became the hit show's first gay character, turns to hypnosis to cure his fear of heights.

But mischievous factory worker Sean persuades the hypnotist to give Jason some homosexual tendencies.

As a result, Jason ends up blowing kisses at Sean and even running his fingers through his hair.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Ryan Thomas, who plays Jason, was shocked to hear that his character was being lined up for camp revamp.

But Tina O'Brien, who plays teenage mum Sarah Louise Platt and dates Ryan in real life, thinks it's a great idea.

"He's going to get a load of ribbing from his mates but I think it's fantastic," she told the red top.
