EastEnders' Sonia Fowler will try and win back the daughter she gave up four years ago when the little girl's adoptive parents die.

Sonia, played by Natalie Cassidy, meets little Chloe again in a cemetery in north London, at the funeral of the couple who looked after her daughter.

She and husband Martin, played by James Alexandrou, are then determined to complete their family by getting custody of Chloe.

Sonia was only 16 when she gave birth after a one-night stand with Martin, who she married last year.

BBC bosses are hoping that the arrival of cute Chloe will bring in the viewers to the ailing soap.

"Little Chloe is incredibly cute and she will tug on even the most hardened viewers' heartstrings," an insider told the Sun.
