Ribena Tooth Kind
It was supposed to be almost as kind to kids' teeth as water, when it was launched in 1998. But after a two-year inquiry the ASA said the boast that it "did not encourage tooth decay" was misleading - but not before it had racked up sales worth 30million. In 1994 the company claimed Ribena Juice & Fibre would lower cholesterol. Both were withdrawn after advertising complaints. Look through our other great galleries!
