Which supplements should you be taking?
Omega-3
Good for protecting against cardiovascular disease.
Oily fish is a good source of omega-3.
There is no set RDA for omega-3 but the FSA advises pregnant women or those who are breastfeeding to eat two portions of oily fish per week. Men are advised to eat four.
Risks from omega-3 supplements depend on the source. There may be excess toxins in the fish.
