Chang Po-Yu is the miracle survivor of a crocodile attack that left the Taiwanese vet missing an arm. Disaster struck after Chang had fired a tranquilising dart at the angry reptile's hide.

As Chang moved in to examine the drowsy beast, it suddenly burst into life and removed Chang's forearm with one swift bite. Fortunately, the arm was reclaimed and reattached following surgery. A relieved Chang is now recovering in hospital and said: "I'll be OK, it's just a flesh wound".
