10. Led Zeppelin - 'Led Zeppelin IV' (1971)

This album was released with no title and no artist name anywhere to be seen. Just the LP label's four symbols were printed. The reason for this was the band's disdain for the media who labelled them as 'hyped'. Led Zep's intentions... to prove their music could sell itself.

Commonly referred to as 'Led Zeppelin IV' the album sold 23 million copies in the US, making it one of the top 10 best-selling albums in the history of the US music industry.
