The Nano (2008)
Officially hailed as the world's cheapest motor, it costs only £1,200 brand new and is set to revolutionise transport across Asia. It's more than half the price of India's cheapest cars.
The motor rests in the back of the car and its 623cc, 33bhp two-cyclinder petrol engine is capable of over 60mpg and a top speed of 75mph but a recommended top speed of 45mph.
While this may be the latest automotive breakthrough the makers of the Nano are simply standing on shoulders of giants. Take a look back at the greatest innovations in motoring history.
