The judge presiding over the custody battle between her and ex-husband Kevin Federline, has ordered the pop princess to have regular drug tests and to attend parenting sessions every week.

Los Angeles superior court commissioner said she was a "habitual, frequent and continuous" user of alcohol and controlled substances.

Both Spears and Federline must also complete a programme called Parenting Without Conflict and attend joint co-parenting counselling.
