Violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

Paris began her sentence still wearing her make-up from the MTV movie awards party she had attended immediately prior to presenting herself at the jailhouse. She was released after four days and told she could serve her sentence under house arrest with an electronic tag due to an unnamed medical compliant. This decision was overturned a day later and Paris returned to jail and eventually served 22 days. Upon her release she vowed to change her ways, "grow up" and "take responsibility".
