Despite being hailed as a masterpiece of film scoring highly from the critics (and racking up a Golden Globe and Bafta nomination), the soundtrack to Ridley Scott's sci-fi masterpiece wasn't made publicly available for over a decade. Luckily it's here to stay.

Vangelis (who also wrote the triumphant 'Chariots of Fire' music) here delivers a synth-laden orchestral beauty, laced with jazz arrangements and a smoky film noir feel.
