Real life inspiration: Sir William Stephenson

In reality: Sir William was a Canadian soldier, airman, businessman and inventor. But more importantly he worked for British intelligence during World War II, as our senior representative in the western hemisphere, under the codename 'Intrepid'.

In the movies: Sir Stephenson is believed to be the inspiration behind the world's greatest spy, James Bond. He has been played in the movies by the likes of Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
