London's most notorious pubs
The Marquis Of Granby (Covent Garden, West London)
Reportedly the scene of the gentleman highwayman Claude Duval's arrest, the Marquis of Granby is steeped in history.
The pub is named after General John Manners (1721-70) who was said to be a gallant soldier who held an unusual concern for his men, something far from common in that day in age.
