Sir Matt Busby
Sir Matt Busby was a Scottish football player and manager, most noted for managing Manchester United between 1945 and 1969 and again for the second half of the 1970–1971 season.
Manchester United were also runners-up four times in the league, and won the FA Cup in 1948, before winning the league championship in 1952. He is the longest serving manager of Manchester United in history.
Before going into management, Busby was a player for two of Manchester United's greatest rivals, Manchester City and Liverpool FC. He passed away January 20 1994.
