'Dr Who' actress Karen Gillan came face to face with her action figure for her sidekick character Amy Pond ahead of the launch at the Glasgow branch of toy store Hamley's.

The five inches tall mini Amy Pond comes with fully-poseable limbs and is made out of hard-wearing moulded plastic.

The doll is likely to be a huge hit over Christmas, and fans can also buy a Tardis and Matt Smith Dr Who figure to complete the set.
