7. Ploughman's lunch
Created in:
1960
This common pub lunch comprises of thick pieces of cheese, a crusty bap or chunk of bread, and butter. It is often accompanied by a green salad, half an apple, celery, pat, sliced hard boiled egg or beetroot. Glasgow's top chef, Chris Law said: " This is nice, but I'd like people to make their own, using a good cheese, fresh bread and gherkins instead of pickles."
