The pop diva had always claimed to be a lot younger than she actually was ever since she first shot to fame with the release of album 'Not That Kind' in 2000. The problem became even trickier to avoid when in 2001 she was diagnosed with breast cancer at what people assumed to be the young age of 31 - in reality she was nearly 36.

Anastacia admitted that she is five years older than the age she previously claimed and was actually born in 1968. She said: "Every interview I did I had to rethink when I was born, how old my brothers and sisters needed to be. I'm thrilled I can now finally be 40."
