Like some people, certain garden pests find the amber nectar irresistible - especially slugs and snails. If you're having problems with slimy invaders - buy a container, such as an empty juice carton and cut it in half, lengthways. Place it in the area where you've seen the pests and pour in a half can of warm, leftover beer. Leave it overnight to make your own incredible 'slug pub'.
