This is not only a magnificant exemplar of preservation because of its "unique collection of over 2000 photographs of milestones taken by the late Ken Diamond during his travels in the UK", but also because milestones, sessile, inaccurate, superceded and often indistinguisable from pointless random rocks, are such a splendidly improbable thing to preserve.
