By new year the Baileys, turkey and Christmas pudding are just settling in nicely on our wobbly bits and many people see the new year as the opportune time to shift the pounds they've been meaning to lose all year.
Every year gyms see their membership demands increase every January as people try to fight the bulge and become healthier as part of their new year resolution. But like smoking this tends to only last a few weeks, a few months for those with the most willpower.
Well, a piece of cake a day can't do that much damage can it...? Â
