The directorial debut of Britain’s only 1920s female filmmaker was also a vehicle for actor John Longden who here plays a dual role in the same year he came to fame under Alfred Hitchcock's direction in Blackmail (he would star in a further four films by Hitch, so impressed he was by his performance).
